RIM Blackberry Playbook Pad Device is DOA

More device partners for YouView

Reports of new device partners for YouView in the press this morning.   Including Pace, Chinese technology giant Huawei, Turkish electronics firm Vestel and the Manhattan Technology consortium, including the Pixsan Digital Software and Skardin companies.

Virgin Media and Motricity have hooked up allowing Virgin customers to watch content on their phones via the Virgin Player. Currently, only 12% of Virgin’s customer base have quadplay services from the platform.

Nokia and Microsoft tie up

Nokia and Microsoft have agreed to join forces against Android and Apple in the smartphone market. Nokia CEO is claiming that this will now make the smartphone market a “three horse race” but he also gave employees a warning about the company’s financial future this week.
