This is my favourite news from Mobile World Congress – 24 Operators are getting together to build [another] app store.  Why?  They don’t want to be “dumb pipes”.  When will they learn that the world needs very efficient “dumb pipes” and that those have value, too!

In case you missed the extensive coverage on this…..  The BBC Trust consultation closed this week and the DTG have been very public about their concerns over the lack of collaboration the BBC is having with other industry partners.  Is this a sign that we’ll all end up in Competition Commission again?
